This is the first really tiny plasma source and nested dipole magnetic field, about 5 inches across. It is made with disc and ring NdFeB permanent magnets. It’s too small to actually work. But shows the concept.

This is a single dipole. Not a nested pair of dipoles. With a circumferential plasma source. This gave the insight into the need for the nested double dipoles.

This is the exploded view of the circumferential plasma source.

Tine nested dipole exposed in circumferential plasma source.

Same as above.

Nested Double Dipole, Virtual electrodes. Lacking plasma source. Operating in breakdown mode, not beam injection, yet.

Double Dipole ExB machine, inside vacuum chamber, opened. Turbo pump in back plate.
